River Wey and Basingstoke Canal DVDs

This cruise takes you from Weybridge and the junction with the River Thames, along the River Wey, past Woodham Junction and through lovely open countryside to reach Dapdune Wharf in Guildford and the limit of navigation at Godalming.

From Woodham Junction, you'll work the locks on the Basingstoke Canal and pass the visitor centre at Mytchett. Through the swing and lift bridges to the limit of navigation at Greywell Tunnel, and then continue on foot, following the route of the abandoned canal into Basingstoke.

Also included is a map of the route and information booklet.

Running time: 60 mins approx. DVD-R format.

Fit a forward facing camera to the bows of a narrowboat (a bowcam), then cruise along the River Wey and Basingstoke Canal and edit it to show progress much faster than real time, with background music and commentary.

Captions identify the main features along the route with markers and mileages to show the position.
